The Lesson

To better understand our identity in Christ at a deeper level, we must realize that we are given a mandate to participate in the creation and restoration process. This concept is critical to learn how to rule and reign as Sons of Yahweh in the Age of Aquarius. Our identity is extremely important in how we function in a great awakening. Nothing else will fall into its proper order until we see that co-creating with Christ is part of our identity.

For years, I functioned from head knowledge concerning my identity in him. I had to practice a lot to move from my head to my heart. How do I know that? My behavior proved it. Our immediate reactions to situations demonstrate what realm we operate from. When we function in Christ, we react with love, peace, joy, kindness, patience, goodness, etc. The first thoughts and actions that well up within us determine how far we are in the process. It’s a journey. We make mistakes, so the only way to keep going forward is to continually run the race. When we fall, get back up. As long as our eyes are focused on Yeshua, our falls have less debilitating effects on our psyche.Humanity is responsible for all of creation. Romans 8:19 says that all creation groans for the revealing of the Sons of Yahweh. What does that really mean? Biblewheel.com provides an English-to-Greek comparison with links to the meanings of the words in The Strong’s Concordance. That same verse in the King James Version from Biblewheel.com says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." When taking Romans 8:19 and unpacking it (using original words and letters), we find that it might better read, “with earnest and persistent expectation, creation itself eagerly and expectantly waits for Yahweh’s sons (the human race) to disclose the truth of who they are for the purpose of continuing the creation process.” This verse calls us to walk in our identity as Sons of Yahweh. In the meantime, creation (the entire cosmos) groans until we step into the position Adam and Eve left open because of their choices. Adam and Eve let go of stewarding creation. Just because they stepped away from that responsibility doesn’t mean we have to as well.

Activation!

We're going to take Romans 8:19 and take it a part a bit more. Let's put it into first person:

"With earnest and persistent expectation, creation itself eagerly and expectantly waits for me, a Son of Yahweh’s, to disclose the truth of who I am for the purpose of continuing the creation process.”

Here are some questions to answer:

What does "persistent expectation" mean?
What does "disclosing the truth" mean?
What does "continuing the creation" process mean?

Write out a definition of these phrases that makes sense to you. Be sure that you can easily replace the original phrase with your own phrase. Now, write out the whole translation using your own phrase.

After creating your own translation of the verse, answer these questions:

Does it change your mindset in any way? If so, how?
What did you learn that you didn't previously understand?
How do you think that you can internalize the truth of this passage?
