Kingdom Government

Mike Farley

Kingdom government is the rule of God, which we endeavor to bring to earth using biblical principles. The creation is waiting for the sons of God to be revealed, for they shall be priests and reign with Christ as kings for a thousand years. Christ has come, and opened the heavens to us so that we may participate in His government.

Kingdom government is best explained directly through scripture. All scripture is taken from the NKJV of the Bible.

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus was for the purpose of saving the world. The bible was written to save the lost.

  •  Acts 4:12Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
  • 1 Corinthians 3:11 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
  • John 12:47 ...for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.”

Christ has come and opened the heavens to us so that we may participate in His government.

Ephesians 2:6 “…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

We are told to preach and demonstrate the authority and power of God.

Matthew 10:6-8 “But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach,     saying, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

The gifts of the Spirit were given to demonstrate the power of God and train up believers so that they would preach the Word of God, the good news, so that people could be saved.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.

2 Tim. 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

In the parables we are instructed to not be lazy in working for the advancement of the kingdom.

Luke 19:12-27 Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for  himself a kingdom and to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’”

His written word illuminates our path. Developing a thorough knowledge of scripture provides security as we venture into “He will teach you all things”. As we learn extra biblical revelations they must not contradict scripture.

Psalm 119:104-105 “Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

We will need to develop a strong personal character lest we ourselves fall to temptation and pride.

  • 2 Tim. 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
  • Matthew 5:37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”
  • 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

To do this we must work on your own Inner healing and deliverance

  •  Matthew 7:3-5 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the  plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. So that, after removing the plank in your own eye, you can see clearly to remove the spec in your neighbors eye.”
  •  Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the       Spirit.”

We see Kingdom Government as the presence of Christ and His council is made up of His sons.

  • Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.”
  • 1 Kings 22:19-22 Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. 20 And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’  So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ 22 The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’”

Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and we are to rule and reign with Christ.

  • 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…”
  • Ephesians 3:6 “that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His        promise in Christ through the gospel…”

In order to do that we must learn wisdom and mature as men and women of God. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. As a benevolent King it should be no surprise that He has councils made up of His sons. In the Old Testament these were typically made up of angels. Now that Christ has come and opened the heavens to us we may participate in His government.

Ephesians 2:6-9 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

All creation waits for the maturation of the sons of God so that we may reign with Christ.

  • Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the             sons of God.”
  • Ephesians 3:10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by        the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places…”

Christ has come and opened the heavens to us we may participate in His government

  • James 1:5 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.”
  • Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with    Him a thousand years.”
  • 1 Corinthians 6:1-4 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge?”

Matthew 6:9-13 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
