Is There Truth in New Age Ideas?

by Del Hungerford

What’s truth and what’s fiction when it comes to “new age thinking?” How do we decipher what’s of man and what’s from God? If there’s truth, how do we find it without walking the tightrope of deception?

These questions plagued me for nearly thirty years. When I asked other believers if they understood any truths behind new age ideas, most often I was met with a blank stare. This subject is taboo in the Christian world where many think that if you even utter the word “new age,” it’s grounds for stepping into enemy territory. Honestly, I think that’s right where the enemy wants us – afraid and running. Why? Because it KEEPS us from truth. The Word says “he that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.” (John 4:4) We’re also told that we are “in Him” and when we function from that place of being “in Him,” there’s no fear. As a reminder… the enemy can only copy; he can’t create. What we see in new age thinking is a copy of the original.

If the enemy can only copy, how do I find the original?

As I research the healing aspects of musical frequencies (Healing Frequencies Music), it requires that I look at materials that seem a bit sketchy. Because I operate IN Christ, I step into the center of God’s name (Yahweh) and FROM that position, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When I sanctify my imagination as I research, there’s no need to fear deception. I also have key questions that make it a bit easier.

  • Does the information glorify God or man? New age thinkers often believe there’s some form of intelligence that created the universe. But, they fail to see that we can have relationship with God.
  • Does the person/group presenting the information focus on “self” enlightenment as the attainable goal? New age thinking focuses on mankind’s own ability to ascend to higher levels of consciousness.
  • Does the information line up with scientific studies? This includes studies in “fringe science.” Some of these materials eventually turn out to be accurate. Einstein and Tesla are two prime examples of research on the fringes of accepted scientific practices in their day. The current process of “peer reviewing” and the need for research funds puts researchers into scientific boxes that often don’t allow for work outside the established norm. Many new age thinkers base their ideas on accurate scientific studies as well as fringe science which can at times end up being truth.

It’s a bit interesting navigating through what some consider new age videos and materials. Eventually, the underlying intent of a given speaker or organization presents itself. Many start out with solid facts, presenting scientific studies to back up claims. It’s the opinions where things tend to go a bit wonky and underlying intentions are revealed.

In two different YouTube videos (of conferences), well respected new age speakers swore and poked fun at others with differing opinions. The “F” bomb seemed to be a favorite. Both speakers proposed that we attain a higher level of consciousness through “self empowerment.” OK, explain to me how swearing and making fun of people brings us to a higher level of consciousness? Hmmm....

As we better ourselves, we have the ability to reach a higher level of consciousness. The problem? Although much of their scientific research was solid, it was the attitude that stunk like a skunk. There's this godly principle that shows "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." (Luke 6:4) Their actions in public demonstrated their actual attained level of higher consciousness. Many people would turn off the video at that point. However, this is where we learn to divide the wheat from the chaff. (Matt. 3:12 and Luke 3:17). Take the good and throw out the ugly. Because you're sitting in Christ with a sanctified imagination, there's nothing to fear.

It was at this point when I first started all this research that I used to get out quick, thinking that deception could “get me” if I continued to read/watch. Notice that the underlying tone is fear. The “If I read this, I’ll be deceived!” thought is fear of deception. If we’re fearful of deception, then we don’t know who we are in Christ. It’s that plain and simple. Fear is holds us back from any forward motion. By giving into fear, the enemy wins.

What I’m learning to do before I watch videos or read new age thinking materials is to ascend (go into my heart - the holy of holies of my being) into the presence of Yahweh. I often sit in my heart garden, or possibly a strategy room with a member of the Trinity, and even some in the cloud of witnesses. From my position of being IN HIM, I begin my research. We sit side-by-side going through the materials together. I do everything with a sanctified imagination asking that truth be revealed in the materials.

I’m amazed that researchers quote scriptures. However, they also point out that the same information is in the Koran and other ancient texts. So, they don’t put any special emphasis on the Biblical interpretation. Ultimately, it appears that new age videos/teachings/books focus on how mankind betters ourselves through personal strength and a higher level of consciousness. Notice the goal… it’s all about self. This is a humanistic viewpoint where any ties to our Creator are left out. What’s the key difference between new age thinking and functioning in/through relationship with our Divine Creator? One is self-focused and the other builds relationship with the One who created us.  When the focus is on building relationship with God, we learn and then do like a child learns from a father.

Where we often mess up is in our knee-jerk reactions to materials that have partial truths. We want to throw all new age thinking out because of the twisted truths. I was part of a church that allowed people to give prophetic words.

One lady gave a word almost every Sunday. They were mostly accurate, too. However, she did have a habit of throwing some of her own thoughts and opinions into the mix, which caused many to disregard her words.

Most people blew her off because her words came off as judgmental. If God used a donkey (Numbers 22:21-39) to prophecy, he can use a grouchy woman. It’s possible that God wanted someone else to give the prophetic word. Out of fear, they didn’t so the person waiting and willing gave the word. The “gift” of prophecy is a gift. We aren’t required to be perfect to operate in the prophetic. So, imperfect people give words. And, imperfect people reject/receive them.

In church, the congregation rejected the woman’s prophecies. The two swearing speakers I mention at the beginning? People laughed and joked along with them at their crude remarks. What’s the comparison? I believe had the congregation listened to the woman’s prophetic words, despite her own twist on the interpretation, many would have been set free. The two swearing speakers? Their information lines up with Biblical history and even explains things from an informed historical perspective. Just because they poked fun at people, doesn’t mean what they presented wasn’t truth. It’s the same with the judgmental woman who gave prophetic words. Her information was accurate but the delivery was off. We have to get past the “art of offense” in order to move forward in our lives and receive truths that often stare us down until we pay attention.

Going back to my three questions at the beginning… When I watch videos or read materials with new age thoughts, I realize and understand the focus is on self-empowerment. Everything focuses on self and the ability to do everything within our own human strength. It works to a point because there are spiritual laws for such things. But, when those laws are used in our own strength, we can only go so far.

Example time!

When I was in high school, I decided to try out for All-State Band my sophomore year. The audition materials included playing a chromatic scale (all half steps) at a very fast speed. I practiced and practiced and practiced. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it up to tempo. One day, my band director watched me and said, “You’re using the wrong fingerings.” Once I started using the correct fingerings, all of a sudden, I could play the scale up to tempo.

How does this relate to new age ideas? It’s very simple. When we do things without the best knowledge, we only go so far. Being “in Christ,” we have the necessary tools to go beyond what we imagine or think. It’s “IN Him,” that we live, move, and have our being. (Acts 17:28). Learning correct fingerings improves scale speed. As a Son of God, that relationship opens up a higher level of consciousness as we are seated on the throne of our life  IN Him. Doing it in our own strength or without proper knowledge? We get stuck at a certain point where forward motion stops, just like I got stuck in learning the chromatic scale. I didn't have the right knowledge to accomplish the goal.

The moral of this story is – when we are IN Christ and function IN the center of His name, we are exactly where we’re supposed to be. IN that position, we function through His eyes. Should deception peak around the corner, we recognize it for what it is. Fear isn’t involved because we’re secure in our identity. There’s a lot of truth we miss simply because we’re afraid of being deceived. As our focus stays on God and seeing Him IN situations, teachings, videos, relationships, etc., His ways become our ways. It’s in this position we learn to love people because God isn’t a respecter of persons. (Acts 10:34). If our focus stays on RELATIONSHIP with God, there’s no need to fear anything. Perfect love casts out all fear. (1 John 4:18) When we’re “in Him,” we are IN love itself. I call this our "in himness." When we’re positioned “in” love, it spreads to those around us. John 13:35 indicates that people will know we’re followers of Christ by our love. As we demonstrate love (through our actions), we can walk into an atmosphere of self-conscious and self-driven people and change that atmosphere with true enlightenment of the “In Him” principle.

What would I like to see? Those who follow the “it’s all about me and what I can do in my own strength” mentality meet and build relationship with the One who created them. Out of that relationship, there’s no stopping what we can do as Sons of God!

Activation!

For this activation, we're going to do a variation of previous exercises. Mix and match them as you desire. If you need some peaceful music, might I suggest you purchase the album Yahweh in the Elements. Choose the song with the name of God that resonates with you on any given day. Then, use the picture below to grab a visual of your seat of rest where you're seated in Christ on the throne of your life. The river flowing into the pool below comes directly from the River of Life. It's full of love for you to infuse into your entire being. Go take a bath in that river and see Perfect Love go into the core of your being - even down to the smallets nanoparticle.

From this position, feel Love moving through your entire blood stream which brings healing to any place in your body that needs it. Imagine that from the throne of your life, Love flows through all your spirit gates, then to the soul gates, and on downward to the body gates. This might be a great activation to do while you physically take a bath or sit in a hot tub. Use these times to engage with your "in himness." Turn inward to your heart - the holy of holies of your physical temple where you engage directly with the godhead. THIS is your place of intimacy where from a position of gratitude, you learn and begin to understand all things of the kingdom.

Ask God to show you the truths from the new age movement that have been twisted for selfish purposes. It's not all about me, it's about me and God TOGETHER! We call this "God and Sons." As a Son, you have the authority to understand ALL things but that can only happen when you turn inward (ascend) to the highest places in your consciousness and entrain (come into agreement with) the very essence of who God is. Build that relationship first! From relationship, then comes knowledge of the deeper things. You're not "going there to get" things. That's not how true relationships work.

Most of all, enjoy the journey!

Fear of Deception

by Del Hungerford

The fear of deception is deception. Fear creates deception so why play with it?

Deception is a subject many believers struggle with. What is it? How do we fall into deception? How can we stay OUT of deception? What do we do once we realize we’re deceived? These are the top four questions uttered by believers concerning deception.

Notice the first word in the title of this post – “fear.” When there’s a fear of being deceived, that’s fear. It doesn’t matter how it’s cloaked or honey coated. Plain and simple, fear of deception is fear. That alone opens the door for deception to sprout. Such small seeds create large trees. If the enemy can coerce us into fear, that gives him the open door to proceed with watering the seed of fear. We fertilize it with “fear food.” It’s the “what if?” principle that feeds fear.

Over on the Healing Frequencies Music website, it’s amazing how many Christians contact me saying what I do is new age. They want nothing to do with my music because they’re fearful of deception. People don’t seem to mind expressing a fear of deception. Some wear it like a badge thinking it makes them holier because they’re able make a stand against something they’re told is of the enemy.

There was a meme going around Facebook that said “Don’t feed the fears!” What would happen if we followed the advice of that quote? We must let go of the "what if's." If we can't do that, we could easily fall into deception.

Much of what I do in researching healing music, frequencies, energy, sacred geometry, etc., involves looking at weird stuff. As I delve deeper into what the organization (or person) says, the motive/attitude eventually presents itself. Some research is solid and well done. However, what they DO with it is another thing.

There’s a recent (well-known) movie/documentary on quantum physics where the main character (an actress) goes about her life. Over the top of this action, groups of scientists, religious figures, and “healers” discuss how consciousness affects everything. At the beginning, many refer to God. By the end, it’s all about bringing OURSELVES into a higher level of consciousness. Where I think it goes a bit sideways is when it becomes “all about me.” Everything is done through human strength. Uh, yeah… take a look around and see how that’s working out for us. Some of the information in this movie is correct. It’s the conclusion (self-reliance) that makes it wonky.

We are told that we can do all things through Christ (Phil. 4:13), that in HIM we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). We are instructed to be seated IN Him from a place of rest (Eph. 1:21), etc... Do any of those scriptures indicate that we do this on our own? When we do things on our own, it's out of the soul, not the spirit. In other posts on this site, you'll see that the soul is in the middle of the mountain. When this occurs, we're leaving out the spirit which sits in Perfect Love. When we reign from our soul, we indeed are doing things in our own strength. For those who are solely led by your emotions, how's that working out for you? If you're finding things difficult, consider getting on your seat of rest where you can see every situation through the eyes of God. From this position, you have better vision.

I ran across several videos on resonance and how objects were used (in ancient times) to create enough energy to levitate items. Some scholars finally admit it’s probable the Egyptian pyramids were built using resonance as the energy source. Yes, it really IS all about sound, energy, and vibration as Nikola Tesla so famously states. In one particular video, I thought “Wow! This guy must be a believer” because he used “Christianese” language. Somewhere along the way, God was disconnected from the equation. My question… does this mean the entire video is deceptive? My answer to that is an emphatic NO!” Why? The information is correct. It’s the interpretation and conclusion that’s off.

A disconnect from the “Source” is the problem with new age thinking. The goal is for us – humans – to be the source. In other words, when we leave God out of the process, we function in our own strength. The enemy can only take what God already created and make a counterfeit. He can only duplicate. For years, my question was “If that’s the counterfeit, what’s the real thing?” No one knew the answer. It didn’t stop me on my quest for the truth even though some thought I was dipping too far into enemy territory.

The Word says “He that is within me is greater than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) Uh, that means if I don’t pay attention to or focus on what the enemy does, there’s nothing he can do to “get” me. Because Christ lives in me and I live IN Him, I have more power in my little fingernail than all of what the enemy throws at me. Remember that he goes about AS a roaring lion. (1 Peter 5:8) He is harmful IF we allow it. When I use what I call the “come up here” principle, I’m IN Christ where the enemy’s antics make no difference. I’m in a higher position OVER his antics. Where we get mixed up is by fearing deception. That allows familiar spirits to talk smack to us. We entertain that smack and next thing you know, we’re in trouble!

I’ve found a good barometer in determining what’s of God and what’s not. The first “rule” (if you want to call it that) is to remember that we’re created for relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It’s out of that relationship we live, move, and have our being. When the relationship is our focus, everything else falls into place. I then take that barometer with me when watching wonky and weird videos.

Because the whole consciousness thing was hijacked by new age thought, we tend to tread lightly with one foot in and the other out ready to scram at any moment. (Cue spooky music here) I sit with Yahweh, Yeshua, and Holy Spirit while watching these videos. I ask, “Where’s the truth in this?” I ask questions and even talk out loud as if they’re sitting in my living room right next to me in fleshly form. Yes, I can see them in the spirit because that’s where I go to engage them. But, at the same time, I’m tuned into what’s happening in both the spirit and physical realms.

Honestly, very little of what I’ve learned about energy, sound, and frequency came from listening to Christians. I experience it first, often not understanding what I see. Some time later, I watch a video and what I witnessed in the kingdom realms (in the spirit), I then see on the video! Other times, what’s presented strongly witnesses with my spirit. I take it to God where we have discussions and I often see more. None of this comes out of fear. I generally check any fear at the door, cover myself with the Blood of Jesus and simply move forward. I have to trust that He that is in me, is greater than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) If something doesn’t make sense, I ask. I don’t always get answers right away. They aren’t in my preferred timing either. It’s amazing how these experiences bring scripture to life, too. Stuff I read and never understood all of a sudden makes sense!

When I focus on building relationship with the Trinity, that’s when things change. I no longer appear before God pleading, “I really need this right now because ________.” I want to genuinely understand the love and character of God. Out of that relationship, my attitudes changed. Then, amazingly, things around me started to change, too. I didn’t need to ask. I simply got into that place of rest IN Christ and governed my life FROM that position. Out of that position, my understanding changed which then allowed circumstances to change. When we’re in a position of authority in our lives IN Christ, it’s easier to see the answer. To do this, we must learn to be comfortable with who we are in Christ. No more “I’m not good enough… Why would God want to use me? … What if I mess it up?… What if I’m deceived?”

How does this relate to fear of deception? When we’re IN Him, we aren’t looking at deception. Our eyes are on YHVH and we look for His answers. Then, as we’re directed to go where “no Christian has ever dared to go before,” there’s no need to be fearful.

That being said, not every place is for every believer to go. Tread wisely. It’s like an orchestra that has families of instruments. Everyone has a part to play. They’re different but compliment the other parts. We find out what our individual piece is and go there. Sometimes, things are above our paygrade. When we've had enough experience, we're given more authority.

It’s easy to be lazy. I wanted quick answers and asked questions of others on this same path. Many times I got, “Go ask God yourself!” We are so used to sitting in church being preached AT. We don’t get the opportunity to participate so we function out of expecting others to feed us. That doesn’t work well in the kingdom (heavenly) realms. Answers come out of building relationship with God. This brings me back to the very beginning of my point about deception. Because my relationship with God is strengthening and I understand more about His character and desires, it’s much easier to read the barometer of deception when I do tread in strange places. For example, let’s revisit that same video I mentioned at the beginning about levitating large stones with sound, resonance, and energy. By the end, it was obvious the speaker’s goal was to do these things himself without building relationship with the Creator who brought all of these pieces together! He acknowledged that we have a Creator who gave us these tools but his focus was on finding the answers within himself. His research was solid but the conclusion wreaked of new age thinking. That didn’t make anything he said less true.

My advice to those reading this… When faced with something that feels off, take it before God. Ask questions that Many times, we find it’s our paradigms that need shifting because of misinterpreted scripture or bad teaching. We rely upon what we’ve been taught over the truth. When we don’t fear deception, it’s easier to find God’s truth. The moment we give into that fear, the door is opened for the seeds of deception to sprout and grow some ugly trees. Why not take that fear and trade it for love IN the situation and see what happens? It’s time to give the fear of deception a good ‘ole kick in the butt so we can move on with the call that God has on our lives!

Activation!

If you're still concerned about deception, especially with anything on this site, do me a favor and take your concerns to the Lord with an open mind. That means you're willing to see something from a different perspective other than what you already know or have been taught. Be willing to let go of any "sacred cows" that you've held onto for a very long time. Until we're all willing to do that, it's easy for any of us to walk in deception. What we think we know, we probably don't know. Of course, I wouldn't be saying that had I not done it myself.

Visualize your seat of rest where you're seated in Christ. Sanctify your imagination with the Blood of Jesus by either taking communion first or visualize your being painted with His blood. Feel the emotion of God's love for you from a position of peace. Grab a journal and be prepared to write what you see, hear, sense, and feel during that quiet time. If something comes to you from left field - meaning it's something you have never thought on your own, pay special attention to it. If you need some peaceful music to listen to, might I suggest you try the album Yahweh in the Elements? I sing and play the 7 most divine names of God in and through the music.

Shalom!

Authority in Your Seat of Rest

by Del Hungerford

How can we have “authority” while being in that place of rest in our lives? How can we function from a restful position when circumstances try to get the best of us? The first item on the agenda is to make a decision to be “in” a place of rest.

For several days before writing the original post (in 2018), I watched videos on kingship and what it’s like to sit on a throne while ruling and reigning from that position. Both Mike Parsons and Ian Clayton talk about getting on the “seat of rest.” What does this REALLY mean? Although I’ve been “practicing” getting onto the seat of rest for quite some time, I desired to have a greater understanding of how this can affect me in my daily life. Enter from left stage… the British Monarchy.

Things simply seem to happen at times where something pops up and I think, “Hmmm…. maybe I should take a look at that!” In doing some research for Healing Frequencies Music, I was on YouTube and something about Queen Elizabeth popped up as a suggestion to watch. That got my thinker to working, one thing leading to the next.

The suggested video was of her coronation in 1953. So, I watched it. Although it was over two hours long, I was still quite intrigued. With lots of fanfare, crowds lined the streets to have a glimpse at their new queen. Inside Westminster Abbey, the ceremony included symbolism centered around Christian ideals. The entire ceremony focused on Queen Elizabeth as being the anointed one for the position. Does that sound familiar?

At the time, Queen Elizabeth’s coronation was a spectacular event for a couple of reasons. First off, no coronation before that time had ever been televised. The public was given a glimpse of the majority of the ceremony. This made it possible for the entire world to watch! The only part NOT televised was the actual anointing since it was considered an intimate time between the Queen and God. During the anointing, a canopy was placed over her so the cameras couldn’t see how the archbishop conducted that part of the ceremony. Next – for the first time (because it was televised), commentators had the opportunity to explain to the public what was happening throughout the coronation. This included explaining the symbolism of the regalia and crown jewels.

Let’s explore that symbolism for a moment. I’ll list the basic items and provide a quick synopsis of their symbolism. CLICK HERE for the link for further information. CLICK HERE for another website that has a simple explanation of the coronation ceremony and crown jewels.

  • Coronation Chair – It’s known as the St. Edward’s Chair and is an ancient wooden chair that British monarchs sit on during the investiture part of the ceremony. This is where the anointing takes place.
  • Ampulla And Coronation Spoon – used for the anointing. The anthem “Come, Holy Ghost” is recited followed by the music Zadok the Priest by Handel. The anointing is carried out with a golden canopy over the monarchs head since the anointing is considered a very sacred part of the ceremony. Prior to the anointing, the monarch puts on simple white linen clothing with no frills or extra ornamentation.
  • Spurs and Chivalry – the monarch receives a series of ornaments that symbolize the chivalric nature of kingship. For Queen Elizabeth, wrist bands were put on her after she received more robes. This is considered the investing part of the ceremony.
  • The Sword of Offering – The sword symbolizes protection, good, and the punishment of evil.  The sword is then placed on the altar after being presented to the monarch.
  • The Orb – The orb represents the rule of Jesus over the world and is handed to the monarch. After the presentation, the orb is put back on the alter.
  • Ring – The ring represents the monarch’s “marriage” to the nation. It’s presented after the orb and more royal robes.
  • Scepter and Rod – symbolizes the monarch’s role as pastoral carer for her people. It also includes one of the largest diamonds in the world (Cullinan). The scepter has a dove on top that represents the Holy Ghost.
  • St. Edward’s Crown – This crown is only used during a coronation ceremony, where it is placed on the monarch’s head at the moment of coronation. Following the placing of the crown, the words “God save the Queen!” are repeated three times by everyone. Church bells ring, trumpeters play a fanfare, cannons are fired off, anthems are sung, and the crowds generally go wild with excitement. This crown is only worn once – at the time of coronation.
  • Imperial State Crown – This crown is placed on the monarch following the coronation and after the monarch moves from the coronation chair to the enthronement chair. The enthronement chair is where homage is paid to the monarch by the bishops and archbishops. In addition to the crown, the monarch also carries the orb and scepter along with new royal robes. The Imperial State Crown is worn again at the opening of parliament. It symbolizes the sovereignty of the monarch.

Although the information above is only a quick synopsis of the bits and pieces of a British Coronation, it was enough to give me a picture of how to be on the “throne of my life.” It helped me frame in my mind how I can “rule and reign” in my personal life.

Let’s face it, if we don’t have control over our own lives, what we say to others about their lives won’t carry much weight. First we do, then we can show others. As you read through the symbolism, Holy Spirit may highlight things that will help you on your journey.

To practice taking authority in our own lives, we must first see that there’s a throne to sit on. Some people envision this throne at the top of a mountain. Mountains are high. The higher we go, the better view we have of everything below. A mature king or queen will sit on a throne and “rule” without freaking out about everything that he/she comes face-to-face with. So, when life’s circumstances present themselves to me, I have a choice to go to that throne of my life and say to the circumstance, “Sorry, today’s not your day to assert authority in my life. Oh wait, no day is good for that. Good bye!” (Sound of spiritual door slamming…)

Here’s where the symbolism of the crown jewels becomes helpful. I’m a visual learner so when I can get a picture of how something might look, it’s easier to “see” it happen in my life. I’m anointed with the authority to be in control of my life. I do that through Christ who is in me. Then, I receive protection, see myself seated “in Christ,” put on the royal robes or righteousness, receive guidance from Holy Spirit, take the “rods” of authority and then put on a crown which solidifies that I can indeed rule and reign over my own life IN Christ. I actually get a picture in my mind of sitting INTO Jesus INTO a throne where I wrap the robes around the two of us. This is daily practice for me.

Here’s the problem… circumstances present themselves. It’s on the throne that we are in that place of rest because we are “in Him.” When we’re in that restful position, we have the assistance of Yahweh, Yeshua, and Holy Spirit. What more authority could there be than that!? So, when a circumstance comes flitting by, I look at it and then make a choice to stay in that position of rest. Well… that’s my goal. If I stare at it too long and then begin to entertain doubtful thoughts, it’s a bit more difficult to stay in that place of rest.

How do I do it? I’ve found that when things come at me that want to pull me off that place of rest, including antics of the enemy, the key is to look at Yahweh. I could care less what the enemy does and generally don’t look at the distractions he puts before me. In his case, ignoring is bliss.

Where’s the focus? That focus determines how we stay in that place of rest, on that throne, where life circumstances must come under our feet. No, it’s not always easy but if we can get control of the thoughts that tend to come with hard circumstances, everything else is much easier. I find that praying in tongues and worshiping is very helpful. I don’t dwell on the negative and will often go find something to do that brings me to a place of peace. That will be different for each person. For me, it generally involves worship.

Another major key is practice! PRACTICE!!!! It’s best to practice when things are going well. That way, when the hard stuff is thrown at us, precedence and protocol are set so those situations are a bit easier to deal with. Although I still have a long ways to go, I also take every little victory (no matter how small) and rejoice over it. Growth is growth. I may not always notice a difference but when people around me start saying things like, “Hey! there’s so much peace on you!,” that’s a sign to me there’s growth. I then actually take those compliments to the trading floors and trade for more of Yahweh in my life. I want more of Him. It truly is ALL about relationship. And, going back to Queen Elizabeth, we have the anointing to be on the seat of rest in our lives, just like she was anointed to be Queen of England. That anointing gives us the authority to rule and reign over our lives.

With that, may your journey into the place of authority through your seat of rest be an amazing one!

Activation!

Use the picture of the throne on top of the waterfall as a starting point. Begin the activation be seeing yourself climb up a staircase or going deep into your heart or some other visual that helps you understand you're "ascending" into the realm of the spirit. If you remember the picture of the mountain with all the gateways (posted below as well), this throne and waterfall of Perfect Love are underneath the throne of your life at the top of your mountain where you're seated in Christ marinating in Perfect Love. From there, continue...

  • If you need some peaceful music, might I suggest a song from my Creation in the Elements album. The water element has a gentle waterfall playing in the background. Notice the song title Emotions in the Water
  • From a place of rest, feel the emotions of love, peace, and gratitude. Let them flow through your entire being. Wait to do the next part until you see, sense, hear, or feel these emotions flowing through you.
  • Look at your throne from a distance and then see yourself walk up to it. Jesus is already sitting on it waiting for you to join Him.
  • Go sit "into Jesus" on the throne of your life. Begin to feel the rest and peace in this place. Marinate in that rest and peace, allowing anything negative to float on down the "river of your thoughts." You can even let them flow into the River of Love that's coming from Jesus and into the waterfall.
  • Stay in the place for some time.
  • Look around. What do you see, hear, sense, and feel about things in your life? Write what comes to your mind first, even if it doesn't make sense. Write now, judge later.
  • As time goes on (maybe on another day?), begin to process what you get in the spirit while on your seat of rest.
  • Repeat FREQUENTLY until this activation becomes second nature to you. Of course, it will morph over time where you may find yourself in a different spot, in a different circumstance, and with others besides Jesus. As you mature, you'll see and understand more. Until then, get used to being in this place of rest. When life situations come up that cause anxiety, worry, or fear - come to this place. Stay as long as needed to get back into a place of rest and peace.

Enjoy the journey!

Practicing His Presence

by Del Hungerford

When you first hear the words “practicing His presence,” that all seems easy enough, right? Well… maybe not so much. I’ll take myself for example – when I first heard that phrase, I thought I had an idea of what it meant but soon realized that I was totally clueless. How so? Well, because I didn’t know HOW to practice being in God's presence.

Over the last few years, I’ve talked with several people who ask me how to see better in the spirit and/or engage the Kingdom Realms of heaven. Several conversations later, I’m beginning to realize that people don’t understand practicing. How do you truly “practice” God’s presence? Well, let's explore the "art of practicing."

NEWS FLASH! If you're not good at being consistent, now is a good time to learn that craft. If you're one who starts something and gives up easily before something is completed within a reasonable amount of time, then it might be worth your while to take each situation before God and ask what's causing the problem. It may be as simple as you tend to have too many things on your plate or as complicated as a trauma from childhood. You never know unless you ask for revelation.

Trust me, an issue with being consistent generally has nothing to do with your personality. It's more than likely related to habits, your thought processes, what you believe about yourself (or don't believe), how you were raised, trauma, or a few other things that stop forward motion in its tracks. "Practicing is fun!" no musician ever says in the beginning. We tend to give up when things get hard. But, that's the time when we should be pushing forward. So, let's do this! Determine that you CAN be consistent and start with the small things. Add more "responsibility" as you become more consistent in the small things.

OK, with that out of the way, let's explore practicing from a professional classical musician's perspective...

Practicing His Presence

Most of my readers know by now that I’m a music teacher. That means I play a musical instrument and have spent many years learning how to perfect the art of playing that instrument. Because I was a band director, I learned to play all of the band instruments – many of them just good enough to be a step ahead of the students. My main instrument is the clarinet with my secondaries being piano and saxophone. I have three degrees in music and played professionally for many years. I used to joke with my college students that I spent more years in a practice room than they’ve been alive.

I’m probably not overestimating that either… it’s the truth. To be a good classical musician, you have to practically be married to your instrument and a practice room. Ahhhh... the joys of our practice building, Ridenbaugh Hall, on the University of Idaho campus where I spent hours of my life practicing scales and arpeggios, just like the Aristocats.

In a conversation with a young man, he’d been trying to see with his spiritual eyes but struggled with the “how to” in doing it. Yes, he could see things but often doubted what he saw. My questions to him were “Do you spend time every day going to meet Jesus? Do you write down what you see and hear? Do you go back and ask for more revelation into what you previously saw and/or heard?” Not surprisingly, his answer was that he’d not been consistent. Key word here… CONSISTENT.

Let’s take a look at the typical classical musician’s life… As an undergraduate, I spent a minimum of four hours a day in the practice room. There were times that I’d literally spend my entire practice time on three or four measures, gradually moving the metronome up notch-by-notch until my hands were screaming “enough already!!!” I didn’t care… they had to obey me and if that meant doing it over and over until they cried “Uncle!!!,” I was going to do it. Pretty much, all the way through my doctoral program, I had the clarinet in my mouth at least 10 hours per day. By the end of the day, my chops (slang for embouchure) often felt like raw hamburger.

Fast forward to my teaching career… Part of learning to be a musician is getting some basics down. Some of those basics include “scales and arpeggios.” Whatever you start learning, it’s going to take more time at first but you have to get the patterns in your hands and brain as well as setting a routine. The more consistent and accurate you become, stuff gets easier and takes less time. All of my new students would come in each fall and were hit with “you have to play all scales and arpeggios for a grade at the end of the semester.” I loved the look of torment on their faces when I said this (sinister laugh here…). The point is that those students who did it EVERY DAY by starting slow and gradually speeding up, had their scales and arpeggios (cue up Aristocats movie scene…) at a solid performance level by the end of the semester. Those students who were NOT consistent, struggled. As students improved, playing scales and arpeggios became second nature to them.

How do you transfer all of this information to the spiritual? That’s easy… you do exactly the same thing that I describe with learning scales/arpeggios to anything spiritual you’re learning. It’s called “do it every day.” When I first started learning to see in the spirit, I saw very little but… I kept at it. The more I did it, the more I saw.

NOTE: My goal has always been intimacy with the Father. If that’s not you’re main goal, you’re in trouble. And, I don’t say that lightly.

In my Mountains, Gates, and Castles class, I teach people HOW to practice and find time to practice even with a busy lifestyle. I guess it’s time to ask the hard question… “how bad do you really want this?” If you’ve been listening to teachings and haven’t been practicing on a daily basis, you won’t see much change. You’ll have all this stuff crammed into your brain but have little practical experience in how to walk it all out.

What if you doubt what you’re seeing and hearing? You imagine seeing yourself with Jesus where you're seated IN HIM on the throne of your life. I talk about what that looks like in the Mountains, Gates, and Castles class, too. In the Bible, John heard a voice that said “come up here” so he went into the presence of God. Here are some other materials I have that might assist you on your journey:

  • Maturing as a Mystic (book) where I talk about the Christian maturing process similar to that of going from kindergarten all the way through college. You generally don't skip grades and can be at different levels for various subjects. The Christian walk is often very similar.
  • Maturing as a Mystic: Workbook is where I put a bunch of stories that are followed by some activations. You get to practice!
  • Transforming Mindsets (book) is where you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of my life as I went through a transformation process of being very ill to where I am today. Guess what!? It took practice!

Bottom line… if you want to learn how to function in the spirit realm, you have to build a relationship with the Father just like you do with friends and family. Reading the Bible will only get you so far. You know the Father by spending time with Him, not just reading about Him. You do that by spending time in His presence or… practicing His presence. If you don’t do this daily, then it’s gonna be a lot more difficult.

Everything comes at a cost. So, what are you willing to “pay?” A time commitment of practicing and being in His presence is a good place to start. The rest often falls into place once you get some habits established. What do I see as the biggest road block for people? They give up too soon and don’t seem to have the drive to keep at it. Sorry, but the microwave mentality of “I want it now” doesn’t work in Kingdom principles. I would reiterate that the first cost will involve time. What are you willing to set aside to develop a relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? Some of it may be easier than you think. It’s just a matter of changing some thought and behavior patterns.

Are you ready to practice His presence? And, if you find these blogs helpful, please share them with your friends and on social media!

Why is Identity Important?

by Del Hungerford

When you hear the words “step into your identity in Christ,” what is that truly saying? By definition, identity means that you are yourself and not another. It’s a condition or character of each individual person – who they are, what they believe, and other qualities that make us each identifiable from others. So, when the Word tells us that we’re a new creation in Christ, our identity is now with Him and the more time we spend with Him, the more we become like Him and identify with what He does, says, and acts like.

Here’s the problem… because of trauma and life circumstances, we often struggle with truly knowing who we are. We take on an identity that others have put on us. It’s pretty hard to identify with Christ if we can’t be secure in who are created to be. It’s going to be hard to step into Christ’s identity if we are negatively affected by the world around us.

Growing up, I was a show-off. I did dumb things to get people to pay attention to me. I now call that an “A.G.D.” (attention getting device). I can laugh at some of my silly antics now but at that time, I was pretty serious about needing some major attention. My goal (unconsciously) was to get people to affirm me as a person. Most of the time, that backfired because how I went about it was rather annoying. I’ll spare you the details but I’m sure if we’re all honest, we all relate on some level. My issue was my lack of being comfortable in my own skin; I didn’t like ME.

I spent a lot of time with college students in a variety of situations (teacher, fraternity cook, house mother at a sorority, etc.). So many of the conversations centered around what others thought of them. If someone said a mean thing, for many, it was devastating. Imagine if Einsten or Tesla took all the negative comments thrown their direction when they came up with new ideas. Hmmmm.....

In recent years, it's like any negative comment is an attack on the identity. Most recently, many have come to talk with me who battle anxiety, depression, and other emotional things. These issues appear to keep these people from having a normal functioning adult life. Many struggle with “adulting” in general. When we get overwhelmed, life itself tends to throw curve balls at us. We then get hit with those curve balls and think there’s no way out because we listen to what society tells us.

It's interesting that these types of issues began to escalate somewhere around 2012. Why was there such a spike in mental health issues? As a teacher, I noticed that by the time I retired (2022), HALF of the students in my classes were on some sort of plan to manage their mental health. I have some theories about the "why" of these issues but will save my comments for personal rather than public discussion at this point.

News flash #1 – When people are mean, nearly 100% of the time, it’s their own issue and they are simply projecting their own hurt at you! Hurting people hurt people. Once we become comfortable in who God created us to be, nasty comments have less of an effect on us. But, that’s easier said than done.

Why? Because when people say nasty things, we like to “entertain” those little nasties, mulling them over and over in our minds. The more we do that, the more stirred up we get. I wonder what would happen if we did this more often with the compliments people give us? I can’t seem to figure out why it’s the negative comments that get the most “mind attention.”

Everyone on the face of the earth has had trauma of some kind. At some point, we have a choice in how the events of those traumas rule our lives. The process of choosing an alternative takes consistency of practicing new thought patterns. In other words, we need to dwell on the opposite and let who God says we are become the ruling force in our lives. There was a time where I had note cards of scriptures pasted all over my bedroom as a child so my focus was the words of God’s promises and not on the circumstances. We are told to give thanks IN everything but not FOR everything. (I Thess. 5:18) When we learn to put our focus on the good and Holy things, then, and only then, do we even stand a chance of overcoming the traumas that can plague us. When we keep our eyes on Jesus and put into practice what He says about us, it’s easier to focus on the good and holy things.

News flash #2! The road will have twists and turns. It’s gonna take time and persistence of being consistent to learn how not to pay attention to the negative crap that comes at us all the time. Even in the midst of some of the slimiest stuff, we can still be in a place of rest. It’s a choice. It’s easy to be offended but, that’s a choice, too. We live in a society where people look for opportunities to be offended. We seem to feed off the latest and greatest disasters and bad news by calling the “bad guys” every name in the book or complaining how the situation has ruined our lives, etc. Maybe it might be more worth our while to pray in our prayer language over those situations and release blessings to all those involved.

What does any of this have to do with our identity in Christ? Well, everything. The reason? We get so wrapped up in what others think of us. Why? It's because we tend to look to the world for affirmation or approval rather than believing what God says about us. We're too sidetracked by the things of the world which keeps us from moving forward out of fear. It's the "what will people think about me?" syndrome that is a destiny killer.

We think because bad stuff happened to us, we’re of no use to God. We believe lies that keep us from moving forward (I’m not good enough, I can’t do that, no one will notice so why bother, etc.).

I really do like the story of the little engine that could. All the way up that entire mountain, his words were “I think I can… I think I can” and it wasn’t easy. But, he kept his eyes on the top of the hill – that hard place that he knew if he could only get to, things would be much easier.

News flash #3 – If we can’t develop a sense of our own identity and be comfortable with who we are created to be, it’s going to be rather difficult stepping into our identity in Christ. How do we adjust our paradigm in this area? Glad you asked! First of all, this thing called “practicing” is key. You put before your mind what you know to be true. This is what the Word calls "renewing your mind." And, when those little familiar spirits start whispering nastiness into your ear, turn your ear towards what God says about you or that situation. If you don’t know, find scriptures to stand on about who you are in Christ. Turn them into declarations and speak them over yourself several times per day.

What’s a familiar spirit? It’s a voice in your head (your thoughts) that tells you junk that’s contrary to God’s Word and His thoughts about you. These little "familiars" go after all of us because they know that if they can wear us down, they win and we don’t get to move forward. That’s their job. Not that we pay attention to them (which we shouldn’t) but if we “take that thought captive” (II Cor. 10:5)what’s being whispered, or flashes across our the eyes of our imagination, it won’t take root and develop into a nasty thought process, imagery, or action in our lives. But, like anything else, it must be nipped in the bud before it takes root. Once the root is developed, it’s much more difficult to deal with.

For us to truly step into our identity in Christ, we need to see ourselves as Christ sees us. This requires getting rid of the junk that pollutes our minds and actions. This requires "heart-brain coherance" where the brain (soul) comes into agreement with the heart (spirit). It’s like cleaning up after a tornado or hurricane where there are heaps of smelly things strewn about. It takes our whole lives to get where we are today so we can’t expect that over night we’re going to clean it all up. Wise counsel, spending time with the Father so He can show us what needs work, and practicing new habits are all a part of the clean-up process. Also, please note, when we spend time with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, many things happen organically because we are being changed from the inside out. In building that intimate relationship, our paradigms change and so will our actions.

As mentioned above, we all have stuff in our lives that tries to pull us down. I’ve known people that have had horrendous childhoods that have come out of that experience and live normal happy lives. Others who still dwell on trauma and what it’s done to them, they can hardly function. What’s the difference? From my personal observation, it’s all about a choice to move beyond trauma and life difficulties. Even with major mental issues, I believe there is a way out. It starts with a full understanding of who we are “in Christ” and taking on His identity. But, in order to do that, we must learn to let go and forgive, learn to love ourselves for who God created us to be, and believe that we are created for a divine purpose. If the opposition can steal our identity, it’s won. We then won’t fulfill what we’re called to do.

Conclusion

Let’s answer the opening question… ‘Why is identity important?” Until we understand who we are created to be, it’s going to be difficult to see ourselves seated in Christ so we can become like Him. When we’re going around constantly having to remind ourselves not to be hurt by what others say, our focus is on those issues instead of the solution.

Or, if we believe we’re not good enough to do something or don’t have what it takes, again, our focus is on the problem and not the answer. In Christ, we can DO ALL THINGS! (Phil. 4:13)

How do we fix this? First of all, it’s going to take practice and lots of it! You’ll need to find methods of reminding yourself what God says about you ALL DAY LONG. Once it begins to soak into your memory banks so the new thoughts and behaviors are your first reactions, that’s when you’ll start seeing things around you change.

I’ve seen some amazing transformations in people. The key ingredients are a willingness to move past circumstances, traumas, and hurts. It’s fairly easy to see how we’re doing on this journey by looking at the “fruit” we’re putting out. It’s also obvious in how we react to situations. If you’re unsure, ask those closest to you to describe your behaviors.

When we find our true identity in Christ, that’s when we’ll see things around us change. And, I’m saving the most important comment for last. EVERYTHING comes out of intimacy with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. When we spend time in our spirit (heart, heart garden, etc.) with them, we can learn to walk like them, talk like them, and behave like them. Jesus only did what He saw the Father do. OK, how did He do that? Jesus told us we'd do that sme things He could do so, if He can do what His Father shows Him, so can we. We put ourselves on the alter as a living sacrifice daily being crucified in Christ. Everything about us (what we want, our stinking thinking, our frustrations, anger, bad habits, etc.) begins to be overtaken as Love itself infuses us to the core of our being. It’s done by faith even if you don’t see anything happen right away. As with all things, it takes practice, patience and perseverance.

Shalom!

Your Light Body

by Del Hungerford

We continue with looking deeper into our personal light body. What is it? How do you engage with it? How does it help you mature into a Son of God? How is it different than my physical body? We know that we have a spirit, soul, and body. We explore how they fit into the topic of your light body.

This is the sequel to the “Allness of God” article. In that article, you were introduced to your light body and then we took you into the communion prayer. Here, I dig deeper into some of the truths spoken by Nicolas Acuna in his 3-part video series (Secrets of the House of Light) found on his YouTube channel. Many within NW Ekklesia are paying attention to Nicolas, Fiorella Giordano, Justin Paul Abraham, and others who desire to lead us into how we’re to function as mature Sons of God in this next “age.” No, it’s NOT your standard “run of the mill” Christianity because it requires that we get out of the box we’ve been put in since the time of Constantine.

Here are the most recent interviews we’ve been listening to and discussing. Bookmark them and listen when you have time to take some good notes.

In this article, I’ll focus on Parts 1 from the Secrets of the House of Light series by Nicolas Acuna that's on his YouTube channel. I’ll bring in a couple of pieces from his interview with Justin Abraham, too, because that discussion helps explain what Nicolas doesn’t say in Part 1 of his own series.

Framework of Futurism

Nicolas Acuna presents his topics from the perspective of looking into and functioning from the future. He obviously understands scientific pieces of the creation puzzle that the normal lay person (like me) didn’t focus on in high school (or college). My focus was on anything involving music and forestry... an interesting combination. Hmmm…. All that means is that I get to learn about scientific stuff now. Better late than never, right?!

Nicolas, Fiorella, and Justin look into the future, seeing the possibilities of what lies ahead based on God’s character instead of the negative bent being presented by many church leaders today. I guess they think doom and gloom will “fear” people into being saved? God is good, loving, kind, and wants nothing but for us to BE Christ-like IN the earth, spreading His love, joy, and peace to everything and everyone around us. We can’t do that if we’re angry, traumatized, frustrated, or live with a victim mentality. Therefore, we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind (Romans 12:2), which you’ll see is on Nicolas’ 7 levels of consciousness and communion. You’ll find that chart in the Allness of God article. For easy access, my reworded version is included here (Figure 1).

Figure 1

Nicolas introduces the framework of futurism where we live out of the future, not the past. In his discussion with Justin, he delves into how that works. He states that “when you entrain your consciousness to a higher thought of God, not only does your circumstance change in the present, but your past and future also change.” God did not call us to live out of the present or past. We see in Figure 1 that we “ascend” into higher levels of consciousness and communion with God to “govern” our lives. It’s recommended that you wait to watch Nicolas' interview (posted above) with Justin until AFTER you’ve watched parts 1 and 2 of the Secrets of the House of Light series. As a reminder, here are Nicolas’ 7 levels (with scriptures) of consciousness and communion that were “transformed” into I AM statements in the Allness of God article:

  1. I am incarnated in Christ (John 3:16)
  2. I am crucified in Christ (Galatians 2:20)
  3. I am resurrected in Christ (Romans 6:4-6)
  4. I am seated in Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)
  5. I am functioning in my identity from the foundations of the world. (Ephesians 1:4)
  6. I am a co-creator in Christ. (Genesis 1:26-28)
  7. I am functioning in, from, and through the Allness, image, and likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26)

Your Light Body

In Part 1 of Nicolas’ teaching, we’re immediately introduced to the spirit body, soul body, and physical body. In Figure 2, I created a diagram that represents what he describes as different pieces within our spirit, soul, and physical body. Our spirit includes the spirit and unique bodies. The soul includes the mind body, ego body, astral body, and etheric body. The Allness (uniqueness) of God, at the highest level of consciousness and communion, releases God's thoughts and will to every level below it. All lower levels are sub steps that lead downward to Jesus, the incarnate body, where we begin our Christ journey. Our light body is upstream in consciousness and upstream in physicality. We are the centerpiece between heaven and earth. The scripture Nicolas uses to describe us as living beings of light is John 8: 12 where Jesus says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When we are infused with the light of life, our light body activates!

Figure 2

Notice in Figure 1 that each level is connected much like conentric circles where there's easy flow from one level to the next. Upward is communion and consciousness in Christ. Downward is where we bring the Allness of God THROUGH us and into the earth realm. This picture shows the "as above, so below" principle. Earth is meant to be a mirror of heaven.

Throughout Nicolas’ teaching, he speaks of the Merkabah – our light being. The word “Merkabah” broken down is… Mer = Light, Ka = Glory, and Bah = soul. A “Christo-Kaic” structure is our likeness in Christ. Without the “Ka” residing IN Christ (Christo-kaic), it’s a worldly structure. Those who do not function in Christ, like many modern “new age” thinkers who believe it's all about self, they only function in the “earthly glory” which only gets you so far. This is one reason I believe that when those not seated in Christ “astral project,” they need a silver cord to keep them tied to their bodies. When we're connected to the mind of Christ, the thoughts of God, and the Allness of God, there are no limitations.

Nicolas goes into detail about the Merkabah (your light body) by presenting five “Markabian structures.” Some key points are included here:

  • Host the light in our light body. Consciousness increases as light increases. Light takes shape so we can connect the two worlds – as above, so below. Here, we integrate the two realms (heaven and earth). As we grow into the likeness of Christ, we have more interdimensional capacity.
  • The “Light of Life” seeks to organize itself into more creation and eradicate darkness. This is where we clothe ourselves with the imperishable and death is then swallowed up. When we combine the “Light of Life” with the “Breath of Life,” we start becoming a co-creator in Christ.
  • The Light of Life can be transmuted (transform, alter, change) into the Glory of the God by coherence. Coherence is unity, symmetry, and harmony. This is where we bring every thought captive into the order of Christ. From here, it’s transmuted into glory.
  • Our capacity to align increases. We integrate polarities (those things that seem opposite) such as the right and left brain so they come into coherence with the Allness of God. Polarities become the will of God when we transmute the Glory of God. We break dichotomy (separation, opposition, contradiction) and think “wholistically,” the way God does. This is where we see the overall picture.
  • The “Christo-Kaic” emergence. It is the expansion of our consciousness from the individual to the All. It’s multidimensional architecture that we can host in our body where we’re aware of our multi-dimensional body. We see this as the Merkabah light body that I created from Nicolas’ video in Figure 3.

Figure 3

CONSIDER… because we’re in the image and likeness of Christ, we ALSO are a light in the world. Nicolas describes in Part 1 how we do that. It’s through varying levels of maturity into the consciousness and communion of God we mature into the image and likeness of Christ. We can’t do that until we reach the level of being “seated in Christ in heavenly places.”

The Message Bible clearly states how we’re a light in the world in Matthew 5:14. “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

We must rise above the level of the crucified Christ and being resurrected in Christ to the level of being seated IN Christ IN heavenly before we truly live in the Allness of God. As Nicolas says in his discussion with Justin Abraham, “If we’re not entrained to a higher level of authority, the fractal that emanates is of lesser quality or lesser authority. It traps us in a less hopeful timeline.” We need get above the place where we’re incarnated in Christ (salvation), the crucifixion (pain, sorrow, anger, etc.), and the resurrection. The problem with the resurrection in Christ piece is that many religious scholars have taught it won’t happen until after we die. If that’s the case, then we can’t move to the next level where we’re seated in Christ in heavenly places until after our physical body leaves the earth. How can that be true if people in the Bible prove otherwise? John shows us in Revelation 4 that’s not the case when he was invited to “come up here.” Enoch and Elijah also demonstrated this "ability" to live out of the revelation coming from heaven. Those are three examples off the top of my head but there are more. Have fun digging through scripture for more examples.

Nicolas uses the word “fractal” (evolving symmetry, self-similar pattern, repeating pattern) to show what’s eternal. Fractals repeat “after their kind” into infinity. The eternal fractal Nicolas talks about is the “Allness of God” because God has always existed and will continue to exist.

When we engage in fear, frustration, or any of their negative cuddle buddies, we’re functioning at a lower level of consciousness and communion – probably at or below the crucified Christ. When we’re hopeful for the future but can’t seem to believe for the reality of it yet, we’re between the crucified Christ and the resurrected Christ. It’s not until we’re seating IN Christ IN heavenly places where we learn to function as John, Enoch, and Elijah did while they still lived on earth. Justin Abraham calls this the “Enochian way.”

After watching Nicolas’ first video on the Secrets of the House of Light, the video with Justin Abraham begins to make more sense. That video is titled “New Earth Rising, Part 3” It’s between these two videos we begin to understand more about how our light body functions. As Sons of God, we are seated IN Christ IN heavenly places. Yes, that’s repeated many times throughout this article for a reason – to cement it into your being in a higher level of consciousness.

Question? If there’s a seat, what does it look like? We’re told we have thrones in heaven, so it only makes sense that we’re seated on the throne of our life as we’re seated in Christ. From here, we put on the mind of Christ and position ourselves in the thoughts of God. Both the mind of Christ and thoughts of God are at a higher level of consciousness and communion in the Allness of God. We can’t be polarized in the mind of Christ or the thoughts of God. We see things as God sees them and bring the revelation of what we see, hear, sense, and feel into the earth realm and release that reality around us. What’s in the spiritual realm comes into the material realm. This is how Jesus did seemingly impossible things on earth. And, he totally made the Jewish leaders mad, which tells us Jesus’ actions negatively triggered them Hmmm… how is this any different than today? If you want to know who is doing stupid stuff, look at those who are the most angry about the actions and words of others. Moving along…

To help with understanding your light body and how to function as the light being God created you to be, you need to activate your light body and continue growing in maturity and revelation in the mind of Christ, God's thoughts, and the Allness of God, If you want some assistance, I've got you covered!

See the information below where you can read more about the voice-over activations I created to assist you with this journey. I took the meditation Nicolas did in Part 1 of his teaching, dug deeper into what he said, and then created two meditations/activations. Meditation and activation are synonymous with one another because they are meant to activate you from a meditative state of mind. Nicolas does a very short version of a similar meditation not far into his video. I believe it's right after he introduces the second Merkabian structure.. I simply began with what he provides and went from there. The two MP3 voice-over activations I created, are 30-minutes long each.

Light Body Meditation - $15

What's included? Two separate meditations to the same music titled “Light Body Activation” and “Christ Energy Meditation.” There are two PDF's with the meditations written out and more information. Also incuded is an MP3 of the instrumental music used for the meditations.

Activation Introduction

In my meditation, you’ll fill and activate your light body with the energy of the Allness of God that’s within the mind of Christ and the thoughts of God. Your light body is your Merkabah – or Christo-Kaic (Christ-energy) structure that resides in your spirit. It’s a consciousness and communion in Christ that’s filled with, and radiates, the light and glory of God as you’re seated in Christ in heavenly places and function in the Allness (likeness and image) of God.

The Star of David (two triangles – one pointed down and the other pointed up) forms the Merkabic structure that energizes your being – spirit, soul, and body. They connect and create five energetic points. In the Allness and thoughts of God, we bring truths of heaven and release them into the earth realm. Visualize your light body (spirit body, soul body, and physical body) residing in this “Merkabian” energetic structure.

In this place, you become 1 Cor. 15:53-54 “For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: Death has been swallowed up in victory.” (NIV)

Activate your imagination by visualizing your heart as a glowing ball of light that’s vibrating with energy. It glows with a frequency that you can feel through your entire body. See, feel, and sense the heart increase in light and glory as you marinate in the Perfect love of God.

From this position of Perfect Love, you’ll infuse the light of life, breath of life, and Allness of God into your heart. You’ll then move the light throughout your spirit body, soul body, and physical body. Begin in your heart where you’re seated on the throne of your life in Christ in heavenly places. From this place of rest, you’ll infuse the light of life, then the breath of life, and finally the Allness of God throughout your entire being.

Feel free to follow along with Nicolas as he presents a short version of the meditation in his Part 1 video, or if you prefer a longer, more detailed variation, you can purchase mine and follow along as I lead you through the meditations to original music in the background.

Conclusion

As we continue to dig deeper into a variety of teachings, the goal is to step beyond our current understanding and be willing to let go of our “pet” religious ideas. If we hold onto things we’ve always been taught or believed about scripture, chances are we’ll miss the very thing God is showing us. Yes, it’s good to take deep dives into the original Greek and Hebrew but none of us lived at the time the Bible was written. We don’t always understand the context of how things were said. As an example, our vernacular has changed drastically in my lifetime alone. In 100 years from now, people will read a sentence that includes “that’s totally tubular” or how about “I’m miffed about that” and have no clue what they mean. How can we, some 2,000 years after Christ died, fully understand the culture, daily life, discussions, and how the people of Jesus' day talked and functioned? We have some writings beyond the Bible from people in that day but it's not enough to truly understand their culture. There's a lot written in scripture but there's also a lot that's impled based on the culture of their day (not ours).

Context is important when reading scripture and documents from cultures we don’t personally know about or understand. Scripture only tells us a small part of what we need to know and understand. Scripture gives us many clues concerning God’s character but like any good Father does, we are set on our own journey to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. It’s a maturing process we must go through as we move from revelation to revelation and maturity to maturity. When bad stuff happens, learn from the circumstance and move onward and upward into a higher level of consciousness and communion as we’re seated IN Christ IN heavenly places.

When it comes to maturing, we can only begin with Jesus' words where he says we'll do greater things than he did. (John 14:12) Since that's the case, why aren't we doing it? What are we missing? Why are so many people sick, sad, frustrated, angry, and/or struggling? This includes Christians! Is it possible we're stuck in stinking religious thinking? Maybe... just maybe... as we learn to function IN our identity IN Christ, we'll rise above earthly circumstances where we can sit in the mind of Christ and the thoughts of God to understand how to faciliate what goes on in the earth from the heavenly perspective. As above... so should the "below" be. But, it can't get to that point until we take our place as Sons of God and function as we were created to do from the beginning of time.

Happy activating!

Exploring Your Heart Garden

by Del Hungerford

This experience came about right after my new book, “Accessing the Kingdom Realms” was published (2018). It’s all about revisiting a previous encounter to glean more understanding from the original experience. I talk about that process in the blog post Beavers and Scrolls

For the entire month that I was deciding which encounters to include in the book, re-engaging those experiences, choosing a cover, and working with the editor, my daily engagement experiences focused on sitting with Jesus and Papa on a park bench. My head resting in their laps, I could feel the energy flowing from them into me. It seemed odd that I would spend an entire month like this but I knew there was a plan. Not only was I re-engaging the experiences in the book but it seemed simultaneously, I was sitting with both Jesus and Papa in two separate encounters but the same location at the same time. To my human mind, that didn’t quite make sense. Brain Fry!

What I discovered about this month-long experience is that I was being taught more about the “act” of engaging and that what may seem like a short time in the kingdom realms covers a very long time on earth.

I guess the best way to explain that is to have you read Rick Joyner’s book, “The Torch and the Sword,” and it will all make sense.

What’s a heart garden? It’s a place of deep intimacy in the core of your being where you commune with the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). You can spend time with all three of them separately or together. You share your innermost thoughts with each other and, you can even plant things! There’s an experience in Accessing the Kingdom Realms where I get to plant one of my favorite trees. But for that story, you’ll need to purchase the book. Without further babbling on, enjoy this addendum to my stories from Accessing the Kingdom Realms.

My Personal Heart Garden

I step into my heart garden, into the presence of The Father, who allows me to call Him "Papa," and Jesus. I see myself with both of them at the same time but yet we’re not together. I understand this to be separate realms. I see it but lack understanding in how it works.

Then, without notice, the two scenes come together where Jesus and Papa both get up off the bench at the same time. My Camperdown elm tree in the garden is now almost as large as the ones on the U of I campus. For a moment, I wonder if this time lapse from when I first planted this tree in my heart garden until now is an actual representation of when I was in college through the current time. My heart garden Camperdown elm was close to the size of the Camperdown elms on campus when I was attending college in the early 1980’s. It seems that the time in the spirit covers the time in my life from about 1980 through the present.

The Camperdown elm is one of my favorite trees. As students, we'd stand under these trees when it rained outside and we were waiting for people. I find it interesting that things we delight in tend to show up in our heart garden!

Picture: The Camperdown Elm trees outside Ridenbaugh Hall on the University of Idaho campus. This road leads up to the administration building where many Camperdown elms line the walkway.

Smiling, Jesus comes alongside me. We both look back at my bench where the Camperdown elm now completely covers it, creating a perfect canopy of protection.

“That whole time of your life, you were covered by My love.” He whispers softly into my ear.

He continues, “And, you saw it play out before you in the spirit while resting your head on our laps… Yes, the Camperdown elm tree in your heart garden was close to the same size as the ones by Ridenbaugh while you were in college."

I think about this for a moment, remembering how much we enjoyed those trees. Even then, they were like umbrellas.

Jesus sees my delight in this memory and continues, "While resting your head on Papa’s chest for a month under that tree in your garden, it continued to grow and cover you. It’s a representative of how the Father’s love covered you… even during the time of your marriage.”

“I understand and appreciate this pictorial lesson to help me feel the constant and deep love of the Father.” I reply while leaning against Jesus’ chest as He gives me a great big bear hug.

Shutting my journal, I sit amazed at how seeing myself in the spirit for a whole month was about covering the last forty years of my life. I know there’s something significant to that and as time goes, I’ll understand more.

(Journal entry from 2016)

The lesson in this

As in the book, I’ll provide a lesson here. This encounter was short, sweet and to the point. What I garnered from it was how the Camperdown elm (one of my favorite trees) in real life mirrored what I’d planted in the spirit. Then, over time the “covering” it provided in the spirit also mirrored the covering and protection I received during a nearly 40-year span in my life. In the book, I got to plant one of these majestic trees in my heart garden, right by the bench where I usually sit with the Trinity and those within the cloud of witnesses. My heart garden seems to be a favorite hangout!

When you read the book, you’ll find many references to my marriage. A failed marriage is tough to work through. If you want to read about that experience, my book “…But Words Will Never Hurt Me: A Story of Overcoming Abuse” is available on Amazon. My understanding of why this situation continues to come up in my encounters has everything to do with continued healing. Papa wants us to be whole and when things from our past negatively affect us, it’s difficult to move into all that He has for us in the next season of our lives. Basically, he “reveals to heal.” So, when you see junk from your past come up in your encounters, Papa is generally showing you a gentle way into healing.

What really struck me about this encounter? When you go through junk in life and wonder how you lived through some of it, it’s nice to know that Papa was right there beside you providing a protective covering. It was up to me to see that protection and take a hold of it. Sometimes I did and sometimes I didn’t. You can bet now that I know more about how this all works, I’m probably going to have that constant anchor point of a Camperdown elm tree and what it represents for me in my life! With that, I planted a Camperdown elm in my back yard in 2011. Unfortunately, that tree is no longer with me because the State of Idaho built a highway over that property. No need to fear, I have another Camperdown elm to replace it!

What Does YOUR Heart Garden Look Like?

Imagine your dream home. There are rooms, a yard, possibly a garage or carport, and in many cases, gardens. You may live on acreage completely surrounded by forests. If you could live anywhere in any house, what would it look like? Imagine that place with all the amazing things outside! Would it be a ranch? What about a castle? What rooms would you like to see in it? What will the outside look like? Come on! Get your imagination working so you can picture in your mind what this all looks like!

Some people think this stuff is crazy but if you think about it, God shows us stuff based on what we know. In the Bible, Jesus taught in parables. Those were stories that people could relate to. Those stories provided images that came attached with a lesson. People understood what was being said because Jesus knew how to bring everything down to their level of understanding. Therefore, why would Jesus not do the same thing now? God did the same thing in the Old Testament. God speaks to each person right where they're at. Of course, there are times we don't understand everything but as we dig deeper, understanding comes.

We can all visualize houses and what they look like. Many teachers use homes to describe the body because there are many parts that come together. As an example, in the New Testament, it says that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It's a dwelling place where we meet with God, just like the Israelites did in the Old Testament. Our body is literally the "house of God." Each of the various sections (spirit, soul, and body) has a specific purpose or purposes. This is likened to the different gateways of the spirit, soul, and body. Each gateway sits within the spirit, soul, or body. To learn more about that, check out my Mountains, Gates, and Castles course.

Now, imagine your being (spirit, soul, and body) is the temple, which is like a house. Visualize what that looks like with all the surrounding areas. This might be a good time to journal what you see, hear, sense, and feel. There's always going to be a peaceful place for "rest." For many people, it's a garden. Now, visualize a perfect garden that fits your tastes. It includes your favorite vegetables, flowers, trees, etc. This place is in your heart, thus, the words "heart garden." It's that intimate place where you commune with God from the very depths of your being. It's the "holy of holies" of your being where spirit resides.

ACTIVATION!

It's time to explore your personal heart garden! There's enough explanation above to get your creative imagination started. I suggest that you do this as often as possible and each time, build upon what you saw and experienced before. You read how that worked for me so now it's your turn.

  • Get into that quiet place where your wrapped in Perfect Love and feeling the emotion of gratitude. It's important to be in this place as you sanctify the imagination.
  • See yourself with Jesus, or the Father. Even if you can't see them, sense them. Or, just do it by faith. Many times, I saw nothing but did it anyway simply by faith. Eventually, more comes but you have to be consistent and persistent.
  • Visualize the most beautiful garden you've ever seen. What is it you want to see in a garden? What should be planted there? Look around and see where those things are located.
  • Where is Jesus? Is there a place where the two of you can sit? If so, go take a seat and begin a conversation with Him.
  • Notice the things in this garden, which is really your heart garden. You are creating it as you imagine it. Write about it so you remember what's there and where things are located. It may not make sense now but in the future, it might.
  • Somewhere in the garden is the River of Life. It's what "waters" everything in your garden. Next to the river is a bench where you can sit with members of the Trinity to have conversations. Be sure to have your journal with you during these times.
  • You'll begin to notice certain things are in certain places for a specific reason. You may be asked at some point to bring things to your heart garden like I was with certain scrolls (Beavers and Scrolls blog post).

NOTE: This can go on for a long time over periods of years. Although it may seem silly, the point here is to practice being in that intimate place with the Trinity. It's where you build relationship beyond what's in the Bible. You hear, sense, feel, and see in real time what the Lord is saying to you. The imagination can be a wonderful tool that's a launching pad to discovery. I bet every time you read the Bible, you get a picture in your mind of what you're reading. If you can do that, then this isn't so silly after all. The key is to enjoy the journey!

Happy Practicing!

Your Seat of Rest

by Del Hungerford

Your seat of rest sits on top of the "mountain of your life." Jesus taught using parables. In a sense, that's exactly what I'm doing with the various "kingdom concepts." I'm using every day things that you understand that others are also using. I do this so we have a cohesiveness between what's being spoken so there's less confusion. With that, let me continue painting a picture, which you can imagine...

Your life is like a mountain where you're seated at the top. That view gives you a perspective of seeing everything below you and anything that comes toward you. It's "high level" viewing from a strategic place. On this mountain, seated in Perfect Love (with Christ) is your seat of rest - or the throne of your life. You'll see the picture above gives you a starting point. However, your throne will be unique to you and may look nothing like this one. Your surroundings may be different, too. Why? It's all unique to you and your individual process of engaging with God.

The more you "rule and reign" over your life from this elevated position, the better your life will be. If you look at the picture below, you'll notice that the inner self is where your heart resides - the castle of your heart (as the children's song says so sing along now...). This is your inner self where you meet with the Trinity in the garden of your heart. This is your temple and dwelling place in the kingdom realms. You'll hear many people speak about getting on your seat of rest when things go haywire around you. Well, this is what they're talking about. It's a visual to help you understand your positioning of ruling and reigning.

Notice that the throne is sitting in Perfect Love. The Bible says God is Love (1 John 4:8-16) so this is where you're seated "IN HIM." The more we learn to function from this position, the more at rest we'll be despite the circumstances around us.

What I’m seeing is that when we’re on our seat of rest, we’re in the presence of God. And, we’re operating out of First Love (our first gateway) because in that place, we are “in Him.” Basically, one touches the other with our throne (our seat of rest) between the two. When we’re “in Him,” what’s in First Love then flows directly into the spirit. Then, from the spirit, it flows down the mountain in and through the soul and body gateways. What others see in us should come directly from the Throne of Grace that flows in and through all our gateways.

When we function out of soul, we’ve essentially cut off the top portion of the mountain. The closer we are to the bottom of the mountain, the further we are away from the presence of God. But, when we function from that position of rest, it allows the golry of God to completely envelope everything below it. At any time, we can move around IN that position of rest and walk down the mountain bringing the Glory and Light of God with us or… IF we’re functioning out of soul, our function only goes at the level we’re behaving out of. Example – let’s say someone says something to totally torque you (make you super mad). You decide to gripe about it and hurl some interesting words towards that person. At that moment, you’ve just gone down to the soul level and aren’t giving the First Love and Spirit Gateways any say. That’s where the griping and interesting words come from… a soul that’s in control. But… when we bring our seat of rest with us, our reactions to these types of things are different. I think that’s one way we know where we’re at. Our first response to the crap that goes on around us generally tells us which set of gateways we’re functioning out of.

As we learn to walk in that place of rest, I think that it’s much easier to actually divide the soul from the spirit because we’re doing it from being in the presence of God rather than trying to do it on our own (soul). Through the above picture, I’m getting a better visual of how functioning from the spirit works. When the soul bows down to the dictates of the spirit, our spirit is in control. When we function out of our spirit, the soul and body come under that alignment and are then subject to the dictates of the spirit. A meme that I made recently says “a soul in control stops the flow of the spirit.” I find this very true because the human DNA part of us rules by feelings, emotions, and actions. If you look at the soul and spirit gateways, you’ll see the difference between the two.

In “The Final Quest” by Rick Joyner, he talks about going up a mountain and the closer he gets to the top, the further away the attacks are. He can see them from the top but they can’t reach him because of his position. As long as he stays at the top of the mountain, he’s good to go. What I’ve learned from this is that if we constantly look at what the enemy is doing, it takes our eyes off Papa. As we stay in that place of rest IN HIM, what the enemy does is irrelevant. The enemy truly is under our feet!

Conclusion and Activation!

This “exercise” for the Mountains, Gates, and Castles course is about functioning from a place of rest no matter what goes on around us. Practicing the presence of God is all about pursuing God with all our strength and might. Our flesh (soul) doesn’t like that because it’s been allowed to rule and reign for as long as we’ve been alive. Like anything else, it takes practice to weed out the “stinkin’ thinkin” that tends to clog our minds. In a sense, it’s like weeding a garden so what’s going to produce fruit will overtake the non-fruit-bearing growth. I don’t know about you but I’d rather have beautiful roses in my garden than dandelions!

Here's a short version of the activation to get you started until you can purchase the course:

  • Print off this page so you have a copy of the gateways (see picture below).
  • Find a quiet place away from distractions.
  • Grab a journal and be prepared to write what you see, hear, sense, and feel during your quiet time. In case a negative memory comes up, write it down. This will help you identify situations to work through.
  • See yourself go into your heart garden, which is at the top of your mountain. That's where your seat of rest resides. It's sitting in Perfect Love so in this place, you're seated "in Christ."
  • Feel the emotions of Love and gratitude. Once you feel those emotions, continue to the next step.
  • See Perfect Love flow down the mountain into EACH spirit gate. Visualize what that looks like. Write what you see, hear, sense, and feel, especially if something sticks out to you.
  • Allow Perfect Love to flow from the spirit into EACH of the soul gates. Visualize each gate and see Love flowing into it. Write what you see, hear, sense, and feel, especially if something sticks out to you.
  • Allow Perfect Love to flow from the soul into EACH body gate. Visualize each gate and see Love flowing into it. Write what you see, hear, sense, and feel, especially if something sticks out to you.
  • Repeat for at least 60 days straight. The more you do this, the more revelation you'll receive concerning things that need adjustment so the gates that need more cleaning can be dealt with. "Dealing" with a gate often means some trauma is stuck there. As the Lord shows you the trauma, ask Him how you're to deal with it.
  • In the Mountains, Gates, and Castles course, I walk you through a more detailed and longer version of this activation.

Seat of Rest Declaration

Here is another practice opportunity! As I've said throughout these articles, I created my own exercises based on teachings I'd listened to. After all, why listen to something and not put it into practice? That's how we mature - by find a way to practice what we're learning. With that, here's my declaration that I spoke (and continue to do so as I feel led) about the seat of rest. Feel free to say this often...

Jesus, I choose to have you seated on the throne of my life. I take my place of being in your in that place of rest on the throne of my life. I rule and judge from my spirit in you and say that my body and soul gateways are subject to the dictates of the spirit as I function in you out of that seat of rest. I choose to lean on you, Jesus, despite what may be going on around me. I take my seat on my throne and govern my life to bring governmental authority into and around my life. In you, I command everything to be subject to the realm of God's kingdom. I say that the kingdom of God is manifested in my life as I function out of rest.

Blessings and happy practicing!

Beavers and Scrolls

by Del Hungerford

In our first book together, “Accessing Your Spiritual Inheritance” by Alice Briggs, myself, and Seneca Schurbon, we share stories about how we are beginning to reclaim much of what was untouched or simply left by our ancestors. Our stories may seem odd at first but as readers walk with us through our journeys, they begin to see how God uses what we already know and understand to bring us into a place of more freedom.

In the final story of the book, I have an encounter with beaver-like creatures living in a root system of a tree, signing scrolls. I knew in the experience they were signing wrong scrolls. However, they seemed eager and willing to sign what I was seeing as counterfeit scrolls.

Because I was in the roots of a tree, based on what we know about family trees, I understood this to be a place in my family line. Jesus pointed out a few things, helping me see what the experience was all about. By the end, I had eaten some scrolls that were left untouched by previous members in my family. However, I didn’t know what was on the scrolls. In time, I knew it would be revealed to me eventually. Other scrolls, I was to give to different family members.

When you have these experiences, it’s important to go back, revisit the experience, and get more clarity. So, I did that. There’s quite a bit of time between the two which allowed me to gain more understanding into going back and redeeming what was lost, stolen, or left by my ancestors.

Beavers and Scrolls: Take 2

In the second experience, I’m back in the exact place at what seems the exact same time. I recognize this only because I can see the beavers signing the scrolls. It’s at this point, I ask for more clarity and want to see what’s actually written on the scrolls. Here’s a snippet from that account…

Jesus, understanding my thoughts about gaining more knowledge, answers “This is why you came back to a place where you lack understanding. You will come here more times. As you do, you’ll begin to understand more about what’s on those scrolls. By seeing what’s on the false scrolls, you will know what’s on the scrolls you ate – it will be the opposite of what’s on the scrolls that were signed.”

“I understand that so much more now, especially since we started writing our book” I respond.

“Look closer at what they’re signing” Jesus instructs.

I see pictures, similar to pictographs. I can’t read what they say but some of the pictures do provide clues. Jesus leans over my shoulder, looking with me.

“See this?” he says, pointing to a peculiar shape.

It’s a movie playing next to the actual pictograph; the beavers are eagerly watching. In a sense, it appears they believe they know what the outcome will be, or so they think, before signing. After each movie clip, this scenario is repeated over and over. Almost immediately after the movie clip ends, the beavers eagerly sign with minimal thought or further discussion.

“This is much like what people do today,” Jesus adds. “They see what they think will be the outcome and agree to that without having the full knowledge to understand any possible ramifications of that choice.”

Pondering this for a moment, I wonder what they are actually agreeing to. I’m surprised that the beavers are eager to quickly sign and move on.

“This is the easy way out” Jesus says. “Easy is easy… harder takes effort.”

I look back at the scroll and watch one of the movies playing before us. It’s of a man riding a horse with no reins or saddle. The horse has control and the man is letting the horse go wherever it wants as if he’s given up in finding the solution to getting this horse under control. Out of nowhere, a set of reigns literally comes from above and bridles the horse. The horse immediately calms down, regroups, and then the man is able to control it.

“I like that! I’ll take it!” says a beaver to a younger one. I watch as the older beaver signs while the youngster peers over the scroll, barely able to read it.

“I’m not sure what the issue is?” I question.

“What’s the man doing on the horse?” Jesus asks.

“He allowed the horse to take him, knowing he could do it (with a little extra effort) but waited for the establishment to do something instead of taking care of it himself?” I answer.

“And, when you do that, you become a slave to the very thing you’re trying to be freed from. When the easy way is offered, it’s too easy to take the bait” Jesus adds.

“That means the papers being signed had something to do with taking the easy way out? I question.

“It’s not only that but a laziness and dependence on others for provision – expecting mankind to meet your needs. There’s no honor towards the Father in that” Jesus sorrowfully explains. “It’s totally self-serving because of the expectation that others do for you.”

After a bit more discussion, Jesus asks me to look at the movie again. This time, I see a pair of reins on the ground, near the horse as it runs but not within easy reach of the rider. It would require him stopping to pick them up, which he never does, even at the beginning.

“He had the tools at his disposal to control the situation but didn’t because it was too much trouble to even bother” I state and question at the same time.

“When you’ve been given the right tools and don’t use them, chaos reigns. How do you want that to look in your own life? Are you willing to see the tools God gives you and then use them?” Jesus asks.

(From a journal entry in 2016)

UPDATE in July of 2025:

Many of the scrolls that I took from this experience were put into my heart. From there, I was directed by Jesus to plant them in the garden of my heart so they could mature. Some were given to family members (in the spirit). I never told any of them in person. I just did it by faith and I have no idea what was on those scrolls. Most of those scrolls are still planted (and maturing) in my heart garden, where I tend "the things of life." I water them with the frequency of the River of Life, my declarations, brooding over them, etc.

In the spring of 2025, I was instructed to go "harvest" one of the scrolls because it was time for what was on that scroll to play out. When I opened it, the scroll was about the new recording studio that I'm preparing to open in the fall of 2025. That scroll had to mature between 2016 to 2025 before I was ready to read it and before it was ready to be implemented. This is the way many scrolls work. They are simply "mandates" with a blueprint attached to them which shows us how to walk them out.

The recording studio is named Kryoton Studios. Kryoton means "light." As of this writing, it's still in the planning process as I "read" and internalize what's on the scroll.

The moral of this story is

At the point where this experience ends, I have more of a discussion with Jesus where I begin repenting for things on behalf of myself and my ancestral line. Many other stories are told in Accessing the Kingom Realms and additional books I've wrttien. All are available on Amazon. CLICK HERE for my author page.

I understand the "movie" described in the encounter to show that my ancestors took the easy way out when they could. When a solution opened up where someone else could take care of their problems, despite a better answer being within their reach, they took what was handed to them instead of working a little harder, and possibly smarter, for a better outcome. The solution being offered was acceptable to THEM because it didn’t require much effort on their part. However, it obviously wasn't God's best. If it was, He would not have taken me to this place. I encourage you to get the Accessing Your Spiritual Inheritance to read part 1 of this story.

What to do with this?

You will notice that I only saw one small piece of what’s on these counterfeit scrolls. But, it’s a big piece that I believe will help unlock some of the other behavioral patterns I’ve seen on my mother’s side of my family line. Even though my mother didn’t raise us, this stuff was in her DNA, which has been passed down to me. It’s time to clean it all up, reclaim what was left behind, and walk in new freedom!

NOTE: This experience occurred not long before I discovered where my mother was living. You may ask why I didn't know that information but, remember... she didn't raise her children so I rarely had contact with her. I only found her because the Latah County Sheriff showed up to my house asking if I knew anyone named Marilyn. Huh... well, it was my mother. I took the phone number from the officer and called the number. My mom was in the final stages of dementia and needed care. She passed away in July of 2019 after struggling with mental health issues her entire life.

I do not have contact with my mother's family. But, that doesn't mean I can't deal with generational issues. As God leads us on our own healing journey, He shows us the things we need to see when we need to see them. When stuff comes up for you, there are some steps you can take to deal with past family sin, personal sin or shortcomings, coming into agreement with things hold you back, etc.

ACTIVATION!!!

When something comes up either in yourself or a generational issue, you can start with the following...

  • Take the situation, event, attitude, etc. before the Throne of God. Sometimes, I take it to the "mobile court," which I explain in a couple of my books.
  • Stand in the place of intimacy with God where you feel His love for you. See yourself as HE sees you. Stand in your identity as a Son of God!
  • Own the transgression on behalf of yourself and your generational line.
  • Renounce all ties to the transgression on behalf of yourself and your generational line.
  • Repent on behalf of yourself and your generational line.
  • Put it at the foot of the cross where it is crucified.
  • Walk it through the cross and cover it with the blood of Jesus.
  • Trade it for a more positive outcome, attitude, etc. For example, determine what the bottom line of the issue is. In this story, it was laziness. So, if you have a similar situation, you could trade it for persistence or something similar. At times, you can trade fear for Love or anxiety for peace. Look at the underlying emotion and thing that caused the issue to begin with and use that as your starting "trading" point.

The Ascended Lifestyle

by Del Hungerford

We begin by asking the question... what is "ascension?" To many, it's a new age word that has nothing to do with Christianity. If you think about what it involves, there's really a better word for it. I call it the "come up here" principle as described in Revelation 4:1 where John was invited by the Lord to see into the future. Many believe John literally went into the heavens for this encounter or that Ezekiel did the same thing when he saw the wheel in Ezekiel 1. Who knows for sure HOW it happened but... there are clues to better understand.

Here are some truths that we do know:

  • God (Yahweh) is as close as the air we breathe. (Acts 17:28)
  • WE are the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor. 6:19)
  • We are seated with Christ in heavenly places. (Eph. 2:6)
  • We are IN Christ and He's in us. (2 Cor. 5:17, Galations 2:20, Colossians 3:3)

Now, let's put this together to describe "ascension." Since our bodies are a living temple where the Holy Spirit resides, we must remember that in the Holy Temple, there was a holy of holies. That's where the priests went before God once a year to atone for the sins of the people. Our personal holy of holies is in our heart. Many are now calling that place either the "castle of our heart" or the "garden of the heart." Science says that the heart is a greater thinking organ than the brain. When we refer to our gut instinct, that's also a reference to the heart. It's the most intimate part of our being where all life comes forth. Without the heart beating, life ceases to exist.

In The Cloud article, I give a definition of ascension. Here's what that article says...

I asked AI to provide a spiritual definition of ascension. I was told  that "in spiritual contexts, ascension generally refers to a process of awakening and transformation, where one moves from a state of limited awareness to a higher consciousness and connection with the divine. It's often described as a journey of self-discovery and spiritual evolution, involving shedding old patterns, integrating different aspects of oneself, and aligning with one's soul purpose."

AI can be hit or miss but in this case, it seemed to spell out ascension quite nicely. Notice the words "awakening and transformion." This occurs first when we become a Christian (salvation). Sadly, this is where many believers stop the process. From here, we move from the limited state of awareness (our natural mind within the soul), and turn inward to the spirit where we step into our "God Consciousness." Instead of simply self-discovery, as AI puts it, we learn who we are in Christ. Communion is FOR this purpose and helps us understand our identity as Sons of God. The above definition also mentions "aligning with one's soul purpose." Well, that's hard to do unless we're seated in Christ (from our spirit, not the soul) in heavenly places. Christ did it first. That set the example for us to follow. He went ahead of us, showing the way to our "inHimness" with God. The final stage is the Perfection of God.

We are seated in Christ in heavenly places. That heavenly place is within you - in your heart. We are IN Christ and He is in us. I call this "in himness." Acts 17:28 also tells us that God is as close as the air we breathe. Well, the last time I checked, I breathe here on earth so that must mean God is literally inside me because that's where my breathing begins. It's just common sense. We've tried to spiritualize this WAY too much.

Look at the picture of the Holy Temple. Now, visualize your body as this temple. The Ark of the Covenant represents your heart. It's the place of great intimacy with the Trinity.

I propose that the word "ascension" actually refers to turning into the very core of your being - into your heart where you meet with God, just like the priests did in the Old Testament but in a physical temple. The new age movement calls this a higher level of consciousness but the part they are missing is that God is the Creator of all things, including our consciousness. How can we function properly unless we include Him in the process? Most new agers function from the soulish level of "self" rather than partnering with God in the spirit.

The temple became a part of our being upon the death of Jesus. Remember when Jesus said to the disciples that the Holy Spirit was being sent? Not long after that, the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed (A.D. 69). This was a sign that the temple is now WITHIN us. When the veil in the temple ripped after Jesus died on the cross, that was the moment He fulfilled what was spoken in the Old Testament. The problem (just like today) is that the "old guard" didn't recognize the shift in seasons.

At that time, they were shifting "ages" from Aries to Pisces. (An "age" typically lasts about 2,000 years.) Pisces is represented by the fish symbol, which was the beginning of the church age. Have you ever wondered why Christianity uses the fish symbol? Aries was the sign of the bull, which was also very prevelant in the previous age. Remember the golden calf at the time of Moses that Aaron built while Moses was on the mountain. Have you ever wondered why it was a calf and not a lamb or some other animal? The ancients understood the ages. What we call the Zodiac is really the Mazzaroth, which tells the story of creation. It was corrupted into what we now call "astrology" in the 1950's. But, we'll discuss this further in another post.

The point here is that WE are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that when we "ascend," it literally means we are going into our living temple into the the holy of holies (our heart) where we learn of the mysteries of God. From that position, we release it in the natural realm. This concept can be difficult to understand so that's one reason many of us use the picture of a mountain to describe it. I'll put that picture below as a visual for you.

Our heart is the inner part of the mountain where we meet with God. The outside of the mountain represents the three parts of our being - spirit, soul, and body. At the top of the mountain is our spirit, which is supposed to release direction into the soul, which then flows down to the body. In a sense, this is a circular thing where the flow comes from the inside to the outside, much like the toroidal shape science uses to describe how energy moves. Hmmm.... Does this mean science is finally catching up to what God has been saying all along?

My Journey of Discovery

When I first started my journey into deeper intimacy with God, I had no idea it would take me into uncharted territory. When I say that, for years, I said the standard, “Father, come down here and meet with me” that I was taught in church. However, over time, I began to realize that if we’re the temple of the Holy Spirit and God is as close as the air we breathe, He’s already here. My problem? I wasn’t looking in the right places. In Revelation 4:1, why did God tell John to “Come up here” to talk with Him?

Since God is as close as the air we breathe, and the Holy Spirit makes our body His temple, and we can “come up here” to meet God, then that’s what we should do. He’s in us, around us, and above us. It’s a matter of stepping into the realization of that fact. How do we do it? Well, for me, that was rather difficult figuring out. I asked questions for years about many things and people just didn’t have answers. Those questions continued to sit on a shelf until the first time I heard Ian Clayton. I had no clue what he was talking about but what he said witnessed with my spirit and… he was the first person who had answers to the questions I’d asked for years. A couple of years later, I started listening to Mike Parsons and others who mirrored what Ian said. To make things easier for everyone, I've chosen to use the same terminology as they do so there's minimal confusion.

In a nutshell, I learned that as a Son of God (no male or female in Christ), I can live an “ascended lifestyle.” What exactly is that? I’ve coined the phrase “come up here principle” which means that my focus is on spending time with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit “up here,” where I see things through the spirit rather than in the natural. John even says throughout scripture that he was “in the spirit.” If he could do it, so can we. We do this through our imagination – it’s how we “see” in the spirit. For the longest time, I didn’t know how to do that. I practiced and practiced and practiced daily seeing with my spiritual eyes. As with all things in life, the more you practice, the better you get at something. Seeing in the spirit isn’t a gift. It’s part of what we can all do. For some, it comes very naturally. That wasn’t the case for me.

Many of you may remember Rick Joyner’s book The Final Quest. That’s a wow book for me because it’s so vivid. The first part grossed me out but never-the-less, I read beyond that part because something about the story intrigued me. It wasn’t until nearly 20 years later that I realized Joyner’s book is based on the come up here principle. He was in the spirit and shown many things.

In the two other books of the series (The Call and the Torch and the Sword), the rest of the story is told. The overall gist of the books focuses on repentance, humility, and a deeper understanding and relationship with God. I had all but forgotten about the books until I began to have similar experiences. That’s when I pulled them back out and read them again with my spiritual senses rather than physical. I encourage you to get the books and read them if you haven't yet done so. They will open your eyes to many of the things we talk about in NW Ekklesia.

Learning to live “from heaven to earth” takes practice. Oh, and did I say that it takes practice? The age-old teaching based on gifts has nothing to do with this principle. I never functioned in any of the spiritual gifts so there’s nothing special about what I do. I practice and practice and practice ascending into the depths of my heart where I’m seeing things from a heavenly perspective rather than our normal run-of-the-mill boring life. Somehow, I managed to stay away from much of the negative "churchy" stuff because I always had a sense that God is good… ALL the time. No, I didn’t understand everything that happened but in most cases, I chose to see how God used a situation to help me mature. My most recent experience with that involved losing my home to the eminent domain process. That story is for another time… but, in case you're interested, I tell about it in my latest book, Transforming Mindsets

Living an ascended lifestyle is simply focusing on being in the presence of God through the “come up here” principle of being with Him in the kingdom realms of heaven via our personal temple. Yes, there are lots of amazing things that I see but those all direct me to Him… Yahweh… God… my Creator. In that place of the ascended lifestyle, I get to know the persons of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Just like best friends, we sit and talk about many things. I watch and learn, then “do” myself. Not only do they want to get to know me but I learn about their desires, too. Friendship goes both ways. It requires two to make a relationship work. If I’m always going up saying, “God, I need this!” and never spend time getting to know Him, that’s no different than writing a check for goods. There’s no relationship involved in that at all!

How do we learn to live an ascended lifestyle? You guessed it… practice! If seeing in the spirit is difficult, go into the blog posts on this site and look for the one about seeing in the spirit. I created my own exercises, similar to what I put in the blog post. I journal and write what I see, hear, and sense even if it doesn’t make sense. Check it for scriptural accuracy later is my best advice. If we second guess what we’re writing, we’ll often miss the good stuff. If we ask God to give us bread, He’s not going to give us a rock. There’s no need to be concerned about deception when our hearts are pure and our goal is intimacy with Yahweh. When our eyes are on Jesus, they aren’t on the enemy. Who cares what the enemy does anyway! As they say in the book Teaching With Love and Logic, ignore the bad behavior and focus on the good. We learn best by focusing on the good things, not the bad. If there’s still concern, decree and declare a sanctified imagination and go for it!

Below is a recap of my version of an image that Nicolas Acuna shared with a private group as he talked about ascension, which is really different levels of consciousness.  There are 7 levels of ascension. They are also  7 levels of communion with Christ through our consciousness. This is often done through deep meditation where we are "in the mind of Christ." That's difficult to do when we have an expectation of what something should look or be like.

First, we look at a version of the image he shared in the meeting that I revised based on my own revelation of the process....

We are seated IN Christ at whichever level of communion we choose. The bottom represents the lowest level of consciousness and communion while the top represents the highest (expanded) level.

  1. We are "born again" (incarnated) in Christ.
  2. We are crucified with Christ.
  3. We are resurrected with Christ.
  4. We sit with Christ in heavenly places. (Ephesians 2:6)
  5. We sit with Christ in our position of understanding that we existed at the beginning. (Ephesians 1:4)
  6. We sit with Christ in the fullness of who he is and entrain with that fullness as we see and function from that position. (Galations 1:19-21)
  7. We sit with Christ in the position of perfection in the "allness" of God, who is Source.

The + and - represent a time reference with the minus being the beginning. The plus is physical reality, where we exist on earth. Ascension brings the reality of heaven to earth.

Nicolas' (my version) image helps us visualize what the process looks like. Jesus was ALREADY in heaven seated in His heavenly position and functioning in the "Allness" of God BEFORE he chose to come to earth as a physical body.

In His heavenly position, He's Christ

In His earthly position, He was Jesus

Scripture says we're seated with CHRIST, not in Jesus. This is the resurrected Christ who is bringing the fulfillment of who he is as fully human and fully God. This is one reason he came to earth to "redeem" us. We can't be seated with Jesus because that's not his full identity. When we "ascend" seated IN CHRIST into the heavenly places through our consciousness (our inner self that resides in our holy of holies), we rule and reign as Sons of God. We begin the ruling and reigning process with self, then family, then our neighborhood, community, and so on. Just like a child, when we show a certain level of responsibility in one area, we're given more. This is what the parable of the talents demonstrates. (Matthew 25:14-30)

You shall know them by their fruit

If you don't know which level of consciousness (ascension) you're functioning from, look at the fruit in your life. What level of love (or fear) do you reside in? How are people around you affected by what's coming from within you? Do you see positive change in your life? How have things moved forward over the last year or even several years of your life? How is your overall health (spiritual, emotional, and physical)? The answers to these questions determine the level of fruit you're bearing that can also determine which level of ascension you're engaging with.

At which level on the above chart do you "commune with" daily? This goes beyond the body and the blood that we take on Sunday mornings in church. This is interacting and partaking with the very essence of the resurrected Christ who has ascended into heaven. It's FROM that position, we see, hear, sense, and feel the very heart of God where we entrain (attune to) His very thoughts. It's from those thoughts we are co-creators. This is sonship at its highest level as we go through "kingdom school." I talk about that in my Maturing as a Mystic series. The workbook that goes with it has several examples. The incarnate level on Nicolas' chart is like Kingdom Grade School. The top level is like Kingdom Graduate School.  We choose which level to function as we mature from being spoon fed to co-creating with Christ.

As you'll hear in many articles by those within NW Ekklesia, the "ascended lifestyle" is all about functioning from our positions as we're seated in Christ. From there, the lessons in co-creation begin as we mature into different levels of authority. This takes time, a few mistakes, and a good amount of practice. The ascended lifestyle isn't a gift - it's a lifestyle that requires daily practice. Like anything else in life, the more you do something, the better at it you get. So, let's move on to an activation!

NOTE: Even Nicolas spoke in the meeting that the imagination is a starting point for the ascension process. This is why Jesus taught in parables. He used things the people understood. So, sanctify the imagination and then go for it!

Activation!

Here's another activation based on a teaching I heard from Ian Clayton. As usual, I took the teaching and created an activation that would help me understand the concepts of living an ascended life. It started out with stepping into it through the "Law of Faith." I believe that I spoke this daily for at least a year until it was deep within my spirit. Again, it's about practice as I renewed my mind to align with God's truth and character.

Here is that declaration. Say it as often as you feel led to.

Yahweh, I come by faith, stepping through the veil into the kingdom of Your presence here on earth. I turn towards Your presence and embrace Your presence and Glory. I turn towards you with my spirit, soul, and body. I fold them around you and embrace You with my heart, mind, and will. By faith, I engage the Law of Faith and come under its government. I receive the full measure of what I have to receive through the Law of Faith. I'm sanctified by the Law of Faith. I receive increase. The Law of Faith presides over all that I do and the supply of God moves through me. As I stand in Your presence, I release the Law of Faith to funciton in and through me. Yahweh, I open the gate of Love and allow that to flow towards You. Father, I ask now that you'd release the River of Glory from the throne of Your presence inside of me. In your presence, by faith, I receive all from you: All the kingdom promise, purpose, destiny, dominion, power, authority, sanctification, all that's on my scroll for me to live here on earth and all the mandate - everything, Father! I receive the ministry today of all the angels that have been assigned to me, my family, my Ekklesia, my entire country, the planet, and the universe - that have been loosed to madate and fight for me on my behalf. Father, I walk by faith, I stay in Your presence and recieve all my angelic assistance.

Enjoy your ascension journey!
